On Saturday, Biddle was the third lady at the inaugural Lakeland Maize Maze Trail Half Marathon, in a time of 2:07:14. Described as having ‘winding trails, rolling fields and golden paths’, this half through the Lake District set off from Lakeland Maze Farm Park.

Over in Warrington on Sunday, Dominic Parry raced in the half marathon event at the Warrington Running Festival, finishing in 1:43:55. Sara Parry completed the 10k in 1:17:13. Held in Warrington Town Centre, the races started and finished at the Town Hall’s iconic Golden Gates on road-closed, flat and fast courses.
