This Saturday, two from Radcliffe AC took on The Lap, a 75k ultra trail race in the Lake District circumnavigating Lake Windermere across trail and steep fell paths including Loughrigg Fell and Wansfell Pike. Despite the 9,000 feet of elevation across an impressive distance, both accomplished this considerable achievement still smiling with Kath Biddle finishing in 14:37:00 and Paul Stevens in 16:11:30.

Sunday saw the penultimate fixture in the Run the Moors series, the 32nd Yorkshireman Off Road ‘Half Marathon’ (with an actual distance of 14.8 miles). Set in Haworth, runners navigated trails, hills, bogs, and mud. Mark Garner finished in 2:28:54 and Neil Greenhalgh in 2:37:10.

On the same day, runners set off from Princess Mary Promenade at the Bridlington Beach 5K. Although this year benefiting from firmer sand due to more favourable tide-times, this was a challenging race along the beach and coastline, with member Emma Wolstencroft finishing in 31:04.

31 headed to Lytham St Annes for the Fairhaven Flyer 10k, a fast and flat course on the coastal front of Lytham, starting and finishing at Fairhaven Lake. There were many PBs and an impressive array of category wins for the club.

Khama Banda was  5^th overall in 36:32, with Steven Fawcett not far behind in 38:42 taking first place in MV45, and Ian Swan second MV45 in a time of 41:34.
