On Wednesday, Karen Doherty was in Edinburgh for the Caerketton Hill Race, with 1,000 feet of climb across a 3.6km distance, finishing in 37:11.
On the same night, three headed to Pilgrims Cross Fell Race, a 7-mile distance in Helmshore with an ascent of 1,300ft made even more challenging by the heatwave. Ian Swan covered the distance in 57:43, followed by Andrew O’Donnell in 1:09:45 and Dominic Parry in 1:21:06.
Kath Biddle celebrated her 300th parkrun on Saturday at Fell Foot, Windermere, completing the course in a time of 24:40.
