Five junior members of the club also entered the 2-mile under-16 event. Seth sped round the challenging course in 15:14, followed by Indie (16:00), Skyler (22:02), Isla (22:34) and Benjamin (22:40).

Kath Biddle’s latest ultra (and second race of the week) was the Yorkshire Wolds 55k on Saturday, setting off from Pocklington. Designed to take racers to the less trodden trails, this ultra included 4,100ft of climb across hidden valleys and through wild grass meadows. After travelling through the picturesque villages of Givendale, Bishop Wilton, Kirby Underdale, Thixendale, Huggate and Fridaythorpe, Kath finished in 7:04:53.
