On Wednesday, eight from Radcliffe AC made the journey to Oswaldtwistle for the Stanhill Fell Race, the third fixture in the Run the Moors series. Celebrating its 30th year, this challenging 5 mile route with 800 feet of ascent took runners through farm tracks, fields, over the moor and up to the summit before heading back down again. Chris Mihalyi made short work of the tricky course, finishing in 39:08, followed by Mark Taylor (41:58), Mark Garner (43:23), Neil Greenhalgh (44:52), Lucie Tighe (47:05), Chemane Thomas (50:09), Karen Doherty (50:35) and Stephen Crowe (52:27).
Thursday saw Paul Stevens clock up yet another impressive result despite the windy evening, finishing Run Media City 10k in a spectacular time of 46:16. This course of 4 laps started and finished in the centre of Media City, over the canal, past the imperial war museum and along the ITV and BBC television studios.
Although the club took a weekend off from racing, many members headed out to various parkruns across the country. Chemane Thomas celebrated her 50th parkrun at nearby Clarence Park, supported by fellow teammates.
