Radcliffe AC Juniors meet Eilish McColgan at the Great Manchester Junior Run

On Saturday, Kath Biddle and Paul Stevens joined The Sunnywood Project for the challenging Yorkshire 3 Peaks, a 24.5 mile route with 5,600 feet of ascent. Starting in Hortonin Ribblesdale, the pair climbed Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, with Kath finishing in 7 hours 19 and Paul in  7 hours 46.

Dominic Parry started his Saturday at Philips Park where he completed his 300th Parkrun, supported by fellow RAC members as he hit this impressive milestone, completing it in 23:37.

He then headed over to the Great Manchester Junior Run, where daughter Skyler set off from the Etihad Stadium, finishing the 2.5km in 20:27, along with two other juniors, Indie (14:39) and Benjamin (16:09).  

Skyler and Benjamin also enjoyed meeting Eilish McColgan, chatting with her about running as Radcliffe Juniors, as well as Eilish’s races.

Sunday saw Laura Aiken also hit yet another PB at the Great Manchester Run 10k, finishing in an impressive 49:09, followed by Lisa Riley (1:09:49) and Sara Parry (1:22:03).

There were also five members running the event’s Half Marathon, with Alex Field first in with a time of 1:40:55, followed by Dominic Parry (1:43:34) Jack Connor (1:47:18), Lucie Tighe (2:00:38) and Jude Hockenhull (2:37:01).

Seven from Radcliffe AC also attended Chester Half Marathon, racing through the historic city, with an unforgettable finish outside the Town Hall and Cathedral. Chemane Thomas was the first over the line for the club in 1:57:26, followed by Karen Wells (2:08:47), Chris Paknik (2:12:35), Elaine Bailey (2:15:59), Stephen Crowe (2:27:02), Helen Kay ( 2:35:20) and Bev Quinton (2:52:59).
