Welcome to the Home of Radcliffe Athletic Club

About the Club

Radcliffe Athletic Club exists to create a friendly and enjoyable way for members to experience and improve their running and to promote running in the town. New members are always welcome whether they wish to run socially with friends, competitively, or both. To this end the club gives its members an annual challenge, that of getting to enough road, trail, fell, and cross country races in the club’s championship calendar to qualify for a prize.

During the year there are various leagues and Grand Prix’s taking place from club level to regional ability covering three main areas within the club: Fell Races, Road/Trail Races and Cross Country. The club also ventures into relay races. Please see members on club nights for further information or check out the “Races” menu at the top of the page.

The club meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7pm at Close Methodist Church, Dumers Lane, Radcliffe, M26 2GB.  On the alternate Wednesday, we meet at Bury Athletic Club running track for a superb track session.

There is a choice of training sessions to participate in from beginners through to competition racing. Each club evening is split into a training run, speed work or circuit training within the gym. All abilities are extremely welcome.

If it’s your first time down aim to arrive around 6.50pm and introduce yourself to one of the members who will help you sign in. If you want to let us know that you are coming down so we can look out for for you, please email our Secretary Ian Swan at ian.radcliffeac@gmail.com

If you’re out running by yourself or with a friend, why not come down and give us a try.
