Radcliffe Athletic Club Junior of the Year

Oliver Swan is Radcliffe Athletic Club’s Junior of the Year for 2023

The 12-year-old received his award from Peter Warr, head of the junior section, and Louise Shield who helps to coach the juniors.

The presentation took place during the club’s annual festive run which visits the Radcliffe streets with the best Christmas lights.

Oliver has competed in the Red Rose Cross Country league this year and is also a regular at the Saturday morning 5k parkruns and the Sunday morning Burrs Community Run in Bury.

Peter said: “What a star Oliver is. He is always at club nights, bringing energy and enthusiasm. He has got stuck into cross country, completed other races during the year, done parkruns and Burrs, and is getting better and better all the time.

"He really has been a credit to the club."
