Membership and fees

We normally suggest you try out the club for two weeks before joining to make sure it is a good fit for you. We welcome all abilities and our sessions range from beginners to competitive running. We recommend that you have the ability to run at least 2/3 miles for our beginners’ session.

After the two weeks we require you to take up membership with the club. We have four levels of membership: premium, standard, student and social/second claim. All our membership options include insurance via England Athletics.

Radcliffe AC adult membership fees

1. Premium Membership – annual fee is £69 which includes:  

• The annual payment of membership for Radcliffe AC.
• With this option, there are no session fees to be paid (usually £1.50 per session)
• The annual payment to affiliate to England Athletics.

2. Standard Membership – annual fee is £34 which includes:  

• The annual payment of membership for Radcliffe AC.
• With this option, standard members will have to pay £1.50 for each session they attend.
• The annual payment to affiliate to England Athletics.

3. Student Membership – annual fee is £52 which includes:  

• The annual payment of membership for Radcliffe AC.
• With this option, there are no session fees to be paid (usually £1.50 per session)
• The annual payment to affiliate to England Athletics.

As a registered athlete you are able to access a number of benefits: 

• Entry to events exclusively available to registered athletes – under UKA Rules for Competition many competitions, particularly track and field, are only open to registered athletes.
• Entry discounts (minimum £2) on UKA licenced road and multi-terrain events.
• ebulletins including key information on the sport and exclusive registered athlete offers. You can ensure your email address and mailing preferences are up to date at www.englandathletics.org/registered-athlete.
• The ability to have a say on how the sport is run and funded in a way that reflects your fundamental importance to the sport.
• Opportunities for you, (and at times your club or your school) to get involved in exclusive events and experiences in association with British Athletics.
• Your registration fee helps make a difference to many areas of the sport.
• Exclusive offers – we work with partners including New Balance, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Sweatshop to provide registered athletes with exclusive offers and vouchers for money off. Some of these can be accessed via the benefits page at www.englandathletics.org/registered-athlete. Others are sent by email so ensure your contact details are up to date and you have opted to receive information!
• Entry in the Great Run Club Challenge competition in the Great Run Events.

4. Social/Second Claim Membership – annual fee is currently £15

• This third option includes annual payment of membership for Radcliffe AC but does not include affiliating to England Athletics.
• With this option, social members will have to pay £1.50 for each session they attend.

We meet on Mondays and alternative Wednesdays (see our training page for more information about our sessions). Please arrive before 7pm as the group leaves at 7:05 prompt.
