About the Club

Radcliffe Athletic club is celebrating it's 40th anniversary in 2024.

We were established to provide a friendly and enjoyable way for members to enjoy and improve their running, and to promote running in the town.

New members are always welcome whether you want to run socially with friends, enter races or both! All abilities are welcome and no one is left behind.

We are based at Bury Livingwaters Church (Close Methodist), Dumers Lane, Radcliffe, M26 2GB and we offer a choice of training sessions.

  • On Mondays there is normally a 5/6.5km run and two 10km runs, based on ability and choice, for adults (age 16 and over). Each group has a run leader to oversee the session and provide support.
  • On Wednesdays we alternate between a hill session, which leaves from the club, and a track session at Bury Track, Market Street, Bury, BL9 9FX
  • There are also strength and conditioning sessions at the club at 7pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.
  • Our juniors (ages eight to 16) meet at the club at 7pm on Mondays.

We are a friendly bunch so why not come along and try out a session? If it’s your first time, aim to arrive around 6.50pm and introduce yourself to one of the members who will help you sign in.
