Radcliffe AC Shield

Awarded to a member by the Committee for their outstanding contribution to the club.
This award replaces the President’s Shield.


President’s Shield

Awarded to a member by the President for outstanding contribution to the club.
Replaced by the Radcliffe AC Shield.


Terry Nortley Cup

Terry was a well known and respected running coach for over 50 years. There is a Terry Nortley mile course marked out in Close Park, Radcliffe where he and Radcliffe members meet each week to help beginners run the course.

Awarded to a member by the Committee for their
exceptional achievements in competition.


Nellie Halstead Trophy

Nellie was born in Radcliffe and died in Bury.
Former English athlete who competed for Great Britain in the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, USA, in the 4×100 metres where she won the bronze medal with her team mates Eileen Hiscock, Gwendoline Porter and Violet Webb.

At the 1934 Empire Games she was a member of the English relay team which won the gold medal in the 110-220-110 yards relay event, and the silver medal in the 220-110-220 yards relay competition. In the 220 yards individual event she won the bronze medal.

Awarded to a female member recommended by the committee.

Norman was a popular club member who died after a courageous fight against cancer.

Awarded to a male member recommended by the Committee.

The winner of this award is chosen by the committee based on performance at past races and training sessions.

The winner of this award is chosen by the committee based on performance at past races and training sessions.


Cross Country Male
