DONNA and Mark Cartwright took to the hills of West Yorkshire on Sunday in the 15 mile Heptonstall Fell Race.
On tough terrain with 3,200 feet of climbing Donna came home third woman and was leading with a mile to go until the last climb took it out of her legs. She finished in a great 2hours 48mins. An improving Mark clocked 3hours 18mins.
And another husband and wife John and Susanne Andrew travelled to the Lake District to race at Cartmel on Saturday.
John took on the 18km Lakeland Trail Challenge and Susanne ran the 10km trail event.
Seventy-one year-old Jim Rhodes and Denise Kay (48) will be running the Rivington Pike Fell Race on April 6 to raise cash for Bolton Crossroads, a charity that provides support for carers.Anyone who wants to sponsor them can contact Denise at GM Crossroads.co.uk
