TWO Radcliffe AC runners joined the thousands pounding the capital's streets on Sunday in the London Marathon. In great running conditions, sunny but cool vet-50 Tony Holt clocked a fine time of 3hrs 29mins 44secs and commented that the crowds had been fantastic. RADCLIFFE AC had a record number of finishers in their 10k mutil -terrain race on Sunday.  In blustery conditions with the rain holding off 275 ran the event compared to 199 last year. Winner was Nick Leigh from Altrincham and District AC in a time of 34mins 02secs and the first woman was an great performance from junior runner Laura Riches from Leigh ... More

The club is now finalising plans for its multi-terrain 10k race this Sunday (14th April). On a challenging course runners will go along part of the local nature trail, on to the roads and paths of Ringley and then face a sting in the tail on the local canal trail. RADCLIFFE AC's Gary Wilson took on the Blackpool Marathon on Sunday in good conditions and clocked a fine 3hrs 19mins. In good but breezy conditions he was pleased with his time and has completed eight marathons since he joined the club. Belated 31/03/2013

RADCLIFFE AC had a good turnout when 12 runners took part in the Salford 10k on Good Friday. On a popular flat two-lap course Steve Lomax was first home for the club in 39mins 49secs but there was nothing to separate him from Rob Shiels,who had the same time.  Both did fine runs, finishing 148th and 149th out of 536 competitors. In sunny but windy ...
