  • Ready to race the train

RADCLIFFE were running under their own steam when they took on the Race The Train from Bury to Rawtenstall.

The aim of the tough 11 mile event was to beat the steam engine to Rawtenstall and three of the club did just that with Chris Whittaker first in from the club in 1hr 17mins 49secs, in 15th place out of 421. Craig Norman ran 1hr 20mins 44secs and was 27th also beating the train as did Mike Cooke who was 57th in a time of 1hr 24mins 24secs.
